Community Football Coaching and Development Foundation Degree – 2 years (18+)
GTSET are also offering an exciting new opportunity for mature learners over 18. Now available through GTSET is the chance to study a Foundation Degree in ‘Community Football Coaching and Development’, awarded through the University of South Wales and the EFL Trust right at Blundell Park. The course has flexible hours and can be tailored around full time or part time employment. It offers access to facilities at Blundell Park, advice from experienced coaches and mentors as well as the opportunity to gain experience delivering sports sessions in various primary schools for the scheme.
Our football coaching course allows students to study all sub disciplines of coaching and gain valuable industry recognised qualifications. The course will teach you aspects of generic children and youth coaching, football coaching, football development, social inclusion, and sports management skills.
There will be further opportunity to apply your knowledge with an extensive work based learning programme provided by the club in our community programmes.

• Sport Placement
The course also involves 3 trips per year to the University of South Wales with the majority of the course being completed via an online platform compiled with assessments, resources and video recordings of lectures that have taken at the University of South Wales.
